At Friendship Retirement Community^®, we understand that for many patients who have recently experienced orthopedic surgery, at-home recovery is not an option.

That’s why we created a Specialized Orthopedic Care Unit that focuses on short-term, post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation. This dedicated unit located in Friendship Health and Rehab Center^™ offers patients a seamless transition from the pre-surgical admissions process to a custom rehabilitation program through the process of returning home and back to their lives.

Because this unit is dedicated to orthopedic care and recovery, our orthopedic rehabilitation therapists and nursing staff are better able to provide the best care available. Our services include physical and occupational therapies, a pain management program, specialized nursing services, and discharge planning to coordinate the transition back to the home.

It’s all part of Friendship’s mission to meet the ever-changing healthcare needs of the Roanoke Valley.
